METHOD FOR RENDERING VIRTUAL VIEW FOR 2D/3D FREE VIEW VIDEO GENERATION

A method for combining a virtual view point for 2D/3D free view point image reproduction is provided to minimize operation repetition in combining virtual view point images. N viewpoint image data photographed by N cameras are obtained(100). Depth information about the N images are operated by estimating disparity about the N images(102). All points of a real image is reversely projected on a 3D space through disparity information of pre-given view images related to a time point(104). A coordinate of the real image is converted into a coordinate corresponding to a time point(106). The 3D coordinate is projected onto on a 2D plane of the virtual image(108).
