A method for recording and sharing the matching codes of a driving path is provided to automatically record a path traveled by a user of a vehicle terminal and provide the same to path search of other users via a server, thereby helping the users to share path-relating information for effective path search. A method for recording and sharing the matching codes of a driving path includes the steps of displaying a path traveled by a vehicle by receiving the positions of the vehicle via a GPS(Global Positioning System)(S110), generating or searching a matching code from a storing part for one or more main points such as peripheral buildings, intersections, branching points or roads during vehicle running(S130), and automatically recording the one or more searched matching codes and generating path data by separating paths among the matching codes into individual paths.
