A method for manufacturing magnesium sulfate compounds using waste magnesium is provided to recycle industrial waste in order to reduce environmental contamination and to manufacture magnesium sulfate compounds at a low price. A method for manufacturing magnesium sulfate compounds using waste magnesium comprises the following steps of: collecting waste magnesium discharged with water in a buffing process in which the surface of a magnesium board is polished(S10); obtaining magnesium hydrate through a hydration reaction between the water and waste magnesium(S20); selectively separating the magnesium hydrate(S30); mixing the magnesium hydrate and sulfuric acid in order to obtain a magnesium sulfate compound(S40); and selectively separating magnesium sulfate compound(S50).
