An upward separation preventing apparatus of an elevator door is provided to assemble the horizontal fixing part and the vertical fixing part to a door hanger case conveniently without the need of replacing the door hanger case. An upward separation preventing apparatus of an elevator door comprises a horizontal fixing part(10) and a vertical fixing part(20). The horizontal fixing part is composed of a horizontal part(13) and a fixing part(14) and located between a pair of door hanger plates. The horizontal part has a U-shaped groove(11) and bolt holes(12) on either side of the groove. The fixing part is protruded from either side of the horizontal part and adheres closely to the door hanger plates so as to prevent the door hanger plates separating from by a door hanger case due to external force. The vertical fixing part is combined vertically to the horizontal fixing part and fixed to a door case.
