An information storage medium capable of controlling optimal recording power without an influence of an optimal power control (OPC) area in a layer upon an OPC area in a different layer is provided. The information storage medium comprises at least two information storage layers each including an OPC area obtaining an optical recording condition, and at least a buffer area disposed at one side of the OPC area.
