A TV channel searching apparatus and method are provided, which maximize the contentment of a user by comparing and selecting programming guide of two channels. A channel searching apparatus of TV comprises the user interface(108), the memory unit(110), the first tuner(102), the second tuner(104), the controller(100), and the display unit(112). The user interface is requested for all kinds of the key input signals and channel search mode from a user. The memory unit stores the channel received by the automatic searching for channels function to the channel map. The first tuner receives the channel which is chosen by a user. The broadcasting program of the channel which is chosen by a user is displayed on the full screen in the display unit. |
