A heading up map displaying device and a method thereof are provided to help a driver for recognizing forward paths of a vehicle through the display of the forward paths in the widest range through rotation. A heading up map displaying method includes the steps of recognizing the location of a vehicle according to received user's input or location signals sent from a satellite or a base station(S200), matching the recognized location to the information of maps stored in a terminal(S210), calculating an angle to display a longest forward vehicle paths on a screen according to the matched vehicle location(S220), and displaying the map on the screen according to the calculated angle(S230).
