An apparatus for reducing an unstable combustion zone of a combustor and a reducing method thereof are provided to minimize vibration and noise generated in the unstable combustion zone and prevent damage to the apparatus due to excessive vibration in unstable combustion. An apparatus for reducing an unstable combustion zone of a combustor comprises a resonator(20). The resonator is installed at one of an air supply inlet port, a fuel inlet port, or an air/fuel mixing inlet port(12c) of an air/fuel supply line(12) connected to the combustion chamber(11) inside. In the process of injecting air and fuel inside the combustion chamber, the unstable combustion zone is reduced through the mixture ratio control of the fuel and the air injected into the combustion chamber.
