The device has a depollution unit burning pollutants such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide, by introducing a reducing agent in an exhaust line (7), where the unit is constituted of a catalytic oxidation device (8) and a particle filter (9). A temperature sensor (12) evaluates temperature of exhaust gas in upstream of the filter. A thermal stabilizer (21) stabilizes the temperature of the exhaust gas and is arranged in upstream of the sensor in the exhaust line, where the stabilizer is made of sic or cordierite. The stabilizer has a section that is same as a section of the line.
