Thermogelling polymer blends for biomaterial applications

Disclosed is a thermogelling hydrogel comprising a polymer blend comprising poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide) and a second polymer selected from the group consisting of poly(ethylene glycol), poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) and poly(vinyl alcohol); wherein said polymer blend solidifies from a liquid at room temperature to form a solid hydrogel implant at physiological body temperature.
