The structure (2) has a crosspiece (4) with ends fixed to a structure of a motor vehicle. A rigidifying unit (6) is fixed on a tubular intermediate section (10) of the crosspiece and to the structure of the vehicle. The crosspiece has a tubular sleeve extending transversally with respect to the intermediate section and stacked with the rigidifying unit. The sleeve is integrated with the intermediate section. The length of the sleeve is greater than or equal to two times of the thickness of a wall of the intermediate section. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a fascia support structure of a motor vehicle.
