Disclosed is the use of an antibody, oligopeptide or organic molecule that binds to a protein having at least 80% amino acid sequence identity to; (a) the polypeptide having the amino acid sequence shown in Figure 10 (SEQ ID NO: 6): (b) the polypeptide having the amino acid sequence shown in figure 10 (SEQ ID NO: 6), lacking its associated signal peptide; (c) a polypeptide encoded by the nucleotide sequence shown in Figure 5 (SEQ ID NO: 5), or (d) a polypeptide encoded by the full-length coding region of the nucleotide sequence shown in Figure 5 (SEQ ID NO: 5) for the preparation of a medicament for inhibiting the growth of a cell that expresses said protein, wherein the antibody for the polypeptide having the amino acid sequence shown in Figure 6 (SEQ ID NO: 6) is produced by a hybridoma 7D11.1.1 (ATCC Accession Number PTA-6340).
