OPEN VOLTAGE VALUE ESTIMATION METHOD AND OPEN VOLTAGE VALUE ESTIMATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open voltage value estimation method and an open voltage value estimation device capable of accurately estimating an open voltage value while taking a remained charge polarization into consideration by a simple constitution.

SOLUTION: A processing part 3 of the open voltage value estimation device 2 obtains a voltage value of a battery 5 from a voltage sensor 6 with time, and when it is determined that an ignition switch 7 is turned OFF, it determines whether or not the voltage value obtained before OFF is during ascending. When the processing part 3 determines that the voltage value is during ascending and determines that the ignition switch 7 is turned ON, it is determined whether or not a predetermined time is passed from OFF. When it is determined that the predetermined time is passed, the open voltage value is determined by reading the voltage value before ON and reducing the voltage value determined by a formula for estimating the voltage value of the charge polarization from the read voltage value.
