<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film having superior black tone. <P>SOLUTION: The retardation film is such that a slow phase axis makes an angle of 45±5°, with respect to the longitudinal direction; and in the measurement of detecting the intensity of scattered light, at a 130°position from the light source, which is a measurement of the scattered light intensity of the film, at an incident angle of 90°in a scattered light profile by a goniophotometer, the difference in the scattered light intensity between a test, in which the slow phase axis of the film is placed horizontal with respect to a sample stand and a test, in which the slow phase axis is perpendicular to the sample stand, is not larger than 0.05. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
