ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor in which a negative-electrode layer can be uniformly and quickly doped with lithium ions, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.

SOLUTION: The electric double layer capacitor includes: a positive electrode formed by forming a positive electrode layer on one surface of a positive electrode collector; a negative electrode formed by forming a negative electrode layer on one surface of a negative electrode collector; a first separator disposed between the positive electrode layer and negative electrode layer; and a second separator disposed between the positive electrode collector and negative electrode collector. The electric double layer capacitor is characterized in that a hole penetrating the negative electrode collector to reach the negative electrode layer is formed in the negative electrode.
