<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding wheel spindle device capable of secondarily using the oily air or oil mist which has lubricated a bearing pivotally supporting a grinding wheel spindle. <P>SOLUTION: This tool spindle device comprises a grinding wheel base feeding mechanism 28 which supports a grinding wheel base 23 on a supporting table 10 slidably along a guide member 21 and sliding the grinding wheel base thereon. The grinding wheel spindle 32 having a grinding wheel 34 is rotatably supported on the grinding wheel base through the bearing 33. The bearing is lubricated by oily air or oil mist. A first space part 44 in which the grinding wheel base feed mechanism and the guide member are stored is formed between the supporting table and the grinding wheel base.
