<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scratch-repairing type wet cloth for washing cars, which has a function capable of wiping up and away stains adhered to the cars and a function capable of repairing fine scratches formed on the coating surfaces by wiping works. <P>SOLUTION: This scratch-repairing type wet cloth is characterized by impregnating an impregnation liquid containing a water-repelling component, a polishing material, and a thickener into a nonwoven fabric, wherein the nonwoven fabric has a layer of a fiber mixture of ordinary fibers with microfibers having a different thickness. The weight rate of the microfibers in the fiber mixture is a half or more that of the ordinary fibers. The impregnation liquid preferably contains a silicone resin emulsion containing the water-repelling component, and the silicone resin emulsion is preferably contained in the impregnation liquid. The silicone resin emulsion is preferably prepared by dissolving trimethylsiloxysilicate in dimethylpolysiloxane or its modified product and then emulsifying the water-repelling component with a surfactant.
