This invention relates to a topical composition and particularly to a topical composition for the prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatment of contact dermatitis. The first aspect of the present invention provides a composition comprising water, kaolin, cetearyl alcohol, dicaprylyl carbonate, glycerin, xanthan gum and sodium lauryl sulfate for topical application for the prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatment of contact dermatitis due to immersion in disinfected or salinated water. The second aspect of the present invention provides a composition comprising water, kaolin, cetearyl alcohol, paraffinum liquidum, petrolatum and sodium lauryl sulfate for topical application for the prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatment of contact dermatitis due to immersion in disinfected or salinated water. |
