The arrangement has a controllable two-position-holding valve (6) subordinated to a clutch control valve (4). A friction clutch (2) is controlled in such a manner that the clutch is switched from a non-operating position to a holding position with a predetermined pressure threshold. Application of clutch control pressure is stopped, and system pressure (P1) is switched at a hydraulic actuating drive, in the holding position. The system pressure is supplied to the holding valve, where the system pressure is activated in terms of adjustment of the holding valve in the holding position. An independent claim is also included for a reduction gear comprising two friction clutches.
