<p>An outer vacuum vessel for a magnetic imaging scanner is formed of a thermoset material which avoids the need for complex welding operations,conventionally required for production of such a vessel in stainless steel. The resulting structure avoids the need for an external aesthetic cover and is easier to clean.</p>
