An apparatus for preventing the death from a fall for a multistory building is provided to prevent the death from a fall by expanding a shock absorbing mat at the bottom of a building when a detection sensor installed to an external wall of an apartment house or a multistory building detects an accidental fall. An apparatus for preventing the death from a fall for a multistory building includes a detection sensor(2) detecting an accidental fall, a main control unit(4) recognizing a signal of the detection sensor and controlling the supply of gas and air, a pressure supply device(6) installed to supply gas and air with the signal of the main control unit, and a shock absorbing mat(8) installed to spread rapidly with the gas and air supplied from the pressure supply device.
