<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller and its control method wherein even if a voltage command is output at an arbitrary timing, extra PWM pulses are not generated, and even when a carrier frequency is low, a high current response is ensured. <P>SOLUTION: The motor controller includes: a current controller (8) for forming a voltage command so that a motor current signal coincides with a current command; a comparator (3) for comparing the voltage command with a triangle wave carrier signal to form a PWM signal; an inverter (2) for amplifying electric power based on the PWM signal to drive the motor; a carrier signal generator (4) for generating the triangle wave carrier signal; and a current detector (6) for detecting a motor current to generate a motor current signal, In this motor controller, a pulse change limiter (11) is provided which generates a new PWM signal only to a first one-time change during a half cycle from a valley to a mountain top of the triangle wave carrier signal and during the half cycle from the mounting top to the valley. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
