<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple-view display device which exhibits improved luminance and prevents the occurrence of crosstalk by placing a viewing converting unit on the rear side of a display panel, and making the lower face of a layer of a parallax barrier reflect light and the upper face thereof for non-reflecting the light, to thereby reflect the light incident from the backlight and non-reflecting the light reflected on the display panel, and to provided a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The multiple-viewing display device includes a display panel for displaying images; a backlight for supplying the light to the display panel; and a viewing converting unit which includes a substrate, at least one layer of a first parallax barrier, made of a high-reflection material to reflect the light on the substrate, and at least one layer of a second parallax barrier made of a low reflective material to block the light on the first parallax barriers, which is placed between the display panel and the backlight, materializes images different from each other, according to the viewing and listening directions of a user by controlling the path of light supplied to the display panel, and reflects the light from the backlight and non-reflecting the light incident from the display panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
