<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor reducing random telegraph signal noise (RTS) contained in a signal from a pixel within the image sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A selector circuit 21 includes an amplification transistor 21a for amplifying a signal V<SB>SEN</SB>from a sensor element 19a of a sensor circuit 19. A control circuit 15 is connected to the selector circuit 21, generates noise shaping of RTS of the amplification transistor 21a during a read term to enlarge a spectrum band of the RTS of a pixel 13 and generates a control signal S<SB>CONT</SB>for setting a read-out state to the pixel 13. The control signal S<SB>CONT</SB>is provided to the selector circuit 21, and an operational state of the amplification transistor 21a is changed by the control signal S<SB>CONT</SB>in accordance with the read state of the pixel 13. A processing circuit 17 reads a signal S<SB>DATA</SB>from the pixel 13. The reading is performed in such a way that high-cut filtering processing is applied to the signal S<SB>DATA</SB>, thereby reducing the adverse effect of the RTS of the pixel 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
