摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption required for packet transfer of a core node while suppressing increase in real-time packet transmission delay. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a network system comprising: an edge node for receiving a packet input from an outside line; a core node for transferring a packet transmitted by the edge node; and a center node for controlling node operation. The center node acquires a minimum value of a maximum transfer unit of a line within the network system and a maximum value of the maximum transfer unit of the outside line and calculates a ratio of the minimum value of the maximum transfer unit of the line within the network system and the maximum value of the maximum transfer unit of the outside line acquired, the edge node multiplexes packets input within a range that does not exceed the minimum value of the maximum transfer unit of the line within the network system and transfers the multiplexed packet to the core node, and the core node reduces an operational frequency of an internal processor on the basis of a value of the calculated ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
