PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate, regarding a filament winding apparatus and a filament winding method in which a fiber bundle is wound round the surface of a member to be wound, the time lag between the winding treatment process and the inspection process and minimize generation of defective products whose resin deposition amounts are under a criteria. SOLUTION: In addition to the winding apparatus that covers the treatment of winding a resin-deposited fiber F round the mandrel 1 there are installed weight measuring apparatuses 37, 38 that measure the weight of the mandrel 1 after the completion of the winding treatment. Concretely, the winding apparatus is equipped with the attachable/detachable device 30 that covers the charging operation of the mandrel 1 to the winding position and the take-out operation of the mandrel 1 from the winding position, and to this attachable/detachable device 30 the weight measuring apparatuses 37, 38 are installed.
