PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a processing term of application software and a network transmission/reception term, and to minimize a change in interface with a transmission driver even in a case where a transmission term or a transmission protocol is changed. SOLUTION: A data transmission apparatus includes: a buffer area 7 for temporarily storing transmission data/reception data data-transmitted/received to a network 3 by user application software 6 on a memory of a CPU substrate 4 in the same structure as that of a shared memory 8 on a network transmission control substrate 2; and a transmission driver 11 for reading data in a transmission data area on the buffer area in a fixed term, writing the read data into a transmission data area of the shared memory on the network transmission control substrate via a bus, reading and writing data, stored on a reception data area of the shared memory, onto a reception data area of the buffer area.
