PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlashless gear device wherein a backlash is always ensured other than the time of rotary power-transmission, and the backlash is rendered inoperative at the time of transmission of the rotary power. SOLUTION: When gear tooth 3a of a mating gear 3 is brought into contact with a gear tooth 7 of a first spur wheel 4, and the first spur wheel 4 is rotated by the mating gear 3, a first follower 17 is moved relatively along a first cam groove 16, and the first spur wheel 4 is rotated with respect to a second rotating shaft 14 to be slid toward a second spur wheel 5. The first spur wheel 4 is slid to the second spur wheel 5 with respect to the second rotating shaft 14, and the second spur wheel 5 is rotated larger by the amount of the backlash than the angle of rotation with respect to the second rotating shaft 14. By the component-of-force of thrust exerted by the first spur wheel 4, a gear tooth 18 of the second spur wheel 5 is pressed to the gear tooth 3a next to the gear tooth 3a of the mating gear 3. As a result, the first spur wheel 4 and the second spoor wheel 5 are incorporated with the second rotating shaft 14 to be rotated by the mating gear 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
