PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester fiber cord for hose reinforcement, slight in mechanical strength deterioration of the fiber cord itself due to brake liquid infiltration thereinto, and capable of giving hoses high in dimensional stability and high in durability with slight fatigue even after long-term use, and to provide a brake hose high in both dimensional stability and durability. SOLUTION: The polyester fiber cord for hose reinforcement is formed in such a way that polyethylene terephthalate fibers and 10-80 wt.%, based on the polyethylene terephthalate fibers, of polyethylene naphthalate fibers are intertwisted with each other. The brake hose is composed of at least two rubber layers, wherein the polyester fiber cord for hose reinforcement is disposed around the outer circumference of the innermost layer rubber subject to brake liquid packing.
