PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not a torque limiter is in the operation state without using a compressor revolution sensor, in an air conditioner 1 for a vehicle. SOLUTION: When an electronic control device 14 commands a variable capacity type compressor 2 to switch a refrigerant discharge capacity in the order of 0%→100%→0%→... (step 240), by determining whether or not a deviationΔP of a refrigerant discharge pressure is below a predetermined pressure B, it is determined whether or not the torque limiter is in the operation state (step 250).
