PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of enhancing the ride quality performance and the steering stability. SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire has at least any one of a clinch part and a breaker cushion part. At least any one of the clinch part and the breaker cushion part is formed of a rubber composition consisting of a rubber component and paper fibers of≥2 pts.mass and≤20 pts.mass to the rubber component of 100 pts.mass. In at least any one of the clinch part and the breaker cushion part, the ratio E*a/E*b is set to≥1.5, where E*a is the complex elastic modulus in the tire circumferential direction measured at a temperature of 70°C, a frequency of 10 Hz, and with a dynamic strain of±2%, while E*b is a complex elastic modulus in the tire radial direction.
