<p>The doctor blade device for metering and/or leveling a coating of continuous web e.g. paper, comprises a doctor blade bed (5), a doctor blade bar (4) supported by the blade bed, a doctor blade holder (6), which comprises a recess (7) for receiving the blade bed, a clamping device for pressing the blade bed against a surface (8) of the blade holder, an ejection device for detaching the blade bed from the surface of the holder, and an actuator for inducing the ejection process. The recess is U-shaped or C-shaped or bag-shaped. The clamping device is intended on a side of the blade bed.
