SCARFING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TREATING SURFACE OF SLAB USING THE SAME

A scarfing device and a surface treatment method for slabs are provided to carry out uniform surface treatment for a target area without the generation of scarfing marks via the scarfing device in a single structure without requiring any additional finishing process. A scarfing device(100) includes a high frequency inducing heating part(110) and a high pressure fluid jetting part(120). The high frequency inducing heating part is disposed in an area of a conveying system(20) for surrounding the peripheral surface of a slab(10) to melt the surface. The high pressure fluid jetting part is positioned at a side of the heating part for supplying high pressure fluid to the molten area on the surface of the slab.
