摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode assembly manufacturing method that obtains a uniform and sufficient bonding force over the whole bonding face in bonding between layers constituting a membrane-electrode assembly while preventing degradation of constituent materials and simplifying a manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method is used for manufacturing a membrane-electrode assembly having a polymer electrolyte membrane, a pair of electrodes that holds the polymer electrolyte membrane and has a catalyst layer including a polymer electrolyte and a gas diffusion layer. The method is configured to immerse the following laminate in pressure medium liquid while hermetically sealing the laminate in a container, capable of transmitting pressure from the pressure medium liquid, so as to pressure-bond the laminate by making isotropic pressure act on the laminate, that is, (1) a laminate in which a first body to be bonded, including the polymer electrolyte membrane, and a second body to be bonded, including the catalyst layer, are overlapped with each other so that the polymer electrolyte membrane and the catalyst layer face each other, or (2) a laminate in which a third body to be bonded, including the catalyst layer, and a fourth body to be bonded, including the gas diffusion layer, are overlapped with each other so that the catalyst layer and the gas diffusion layer face each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
