<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for supporting the generation of an optimal facility maintenance plan in regard to one or a plurality of evaluation indexes related to production in a manufacturing factory. <P>SOLUTION: Based on collected actual result data of facility maintenance, facility performance data, production volume data, and evaluation index data, a facility performance model and a process model are generated. Each evaluation index value to be realized by a production schedule and a provisional facility maintenance plan is derived from simulation. Also, by supplying a request for the production in regard to each evaluation index value in the form of an evaluation function, the facility maintenance plan to realize the optimal production in regard to the evaluation index by making the value of the above evaluation function maximum or minimum is determined.
