METHOD, SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR RENDERING REAL-WORLD OBJECT AND INTERACTION INTO VIRTUAL WORLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a system that can collect image data which reflect an object or action in the real world or both of them and convert the data into a format that is usable in a virtual universe (VU).

SOLUTION: Image data and action that represent an actual object and action in the real world can be obtained and converted into data suitable for the virtual universe, and the data can be transmitted to a VU server. In the VU server, the action and object are related to a virtual region or an avatar; and reproduction of the object and action can be displayed for a user in the VU. Thus, participants can customize the action and object in the VU and bring unique "personalities" to their avatars and VU. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
