PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-diffusing film with high practicality, having good passing property of the film in a heat treatment step in a post process, over the whole length of the roll regardless of conditions of the post process. SOLUTION: The light-diffusing film has aΔn<SB>ab</SB>(relating to the refractive index) of from 0.015 to 0.060, and is characterized in that (1) the film has a light-diffusing layer containing a light-diffusing component inside; (2) the light-diffusing layer does not substantially contain a void; and (3) the light-diffusing layer comprises at least a light-transmitting resin and fine particles as a light-diffusing component. The light-diffusing film is controlled in such a manner that: heat shrinkage percentages HS150 close to both ends in the width direction of the film range from 0.7% to 2.0%, with the difference in the HS150 between close to both ends being not more than 0.1%; and the amount of variation in the longitudinal direction in the HS150 close to both ends is not more than 0.25%.
