PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more simply and easily perform photographing by improving operability, in photographing a microscope image. SOLUTION: A camera head 3 photographs the magnified image of a sample 7 obtained by a microscope body 2, to obtain a sample image. A memory device 18 records the sample image on a recording medium. A CPU 16 detects the completion of aiming on an observed place in the sample 7 in the microscope body 2, based on R, G and B data values for each pixel constituting the microscope image, detected by an R, G and B data values detection section 14 and detects the completion of focusing on the observed place in the microscope body 2, based on the level of the contrast of the microscope image detected by a focus value detecting section 15, and controls the memory device 18, when both of the completion of aiming and the completion of focusing are detected, to make the sample image obtained by the camera head 3 recorded on the recording medium.
