PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and a relatively simple treatment apparatus capable of easily and inexpensively treating high alkaline water. SOLUTION: The treatment method of high alkaline water includes a step of causing water to be treated to flow down from a higher place to a lower place while causing the water to be treated to contact with the air. The treatment apparatus of high alkaline water includes: a frame disposed on an inclined surface; and a number of trays arranged at prescribed intervals on the frame, each tray having a vertical two-stage structure composed of a lower tray and an upper tray, wherein the water to be treated, which flows into the upper tray, flows down from the edge part of the upstream side to the lower tray, subsequently, flows into an upper tray of the tray which is located on the position lower by one stage from the edge part of the downstream side and, as the result, the water to be treated flows down from a higher place to a lower place while being in contact with the air.
