PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method by an acoustic type volumeter allowing calibration work required for volume measurement of a vessel having a complicated shape or the like to be efficiently carried out. SOLUTION: In this measurement method by an acoustic type volumeter, a reference vessel of the acoustic type volumeter is formed with a reference tank and a measurement tank mounted on a measurement object, alternating volume changes are provided to the reference tank and the measurement tank, pressure changes of the reference tank and the measurement tank at that time are detected, the ratio of the two pressure changes is calculated, and the volume of the measurement object is measured by using the ratio. The measurement method includes: a calibration process of starting simple calibration of the acoustic volumeter when the reference vessel is mounted on one standard vessel unit, and the simple calibration is repeated at a certain time interval; and a measurement process of measuring the volume of the measurement object by the acoustic volumeter calibrated in the calibration process.
