A stick control apparatus (10) includes a member (12), a fixed location (14) and a pivot point (16) arranged so the member (12) can pivot with respect to the fixed location (14) to follow a deflection axis (20). A C-shaped spring (26) engages indentation arrangement (14) and (28) and provides a bias force to return the member (12) to a predefined position on the deflection axis (20) from any point along the deflection axis (20).
