METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING EXCITATION SIGNAL AND REGENERATING SIGNAL IN BANDWIDTH EXTENSION

A method for generating excitation signal in bandwidth extension, comprises: after folding the frequency spectrum of the narrow band low frequency signal, synthesizing the signal; and generating the high frequency excitation signal that is needed. The present invention also provides a corresponding method and apparatus for regenerating high frequency signal in the bandwidth extension. In the present invention, because the low frequency signal is used to generate high frequency signal, both of the voice signals and music signals can be extended better based on the harmonious characteristic of the spectrum of the low frequency and the high frequency, and the folding of the spectrum guarantees the continuity of the signal spectrum at the connection point of the high frequency and low frequency. The experiment proves that the present invention is fit for extending the signal with super broad frequency range of 7~14kHz.
