The device has an electrical seat adjuster (10) comprising a driving motor (12), and a sensor device for detecting parameter values by which the position of a vehicle seat is assignable. The sensor device is provided for detecting rotary motion of the driving motor. The electrical seat adjuster has flex shafts (14, 16) comprising two subareas with different cross sectional profiles. One subarea is couplable in a form-fit manner with an output element (18) in the driving motor. The sensor device has an outlet element which is connectable to one of the subareas in a form-fit manner.
