A method for increasing the scattering dust collecting efficiency for a tilting runner of a blast furnace is provided to introduce atmospheric air into a tilting rubber via an opening in small width when suction force is generated from a dust collecting hood, thereby reducing the air introduction and improving dust collecting efficiency. In a method for increasing the scattering dust collecting efficiency for a tilting runner of a blast furnace, a tilting runner(10) is formed with a lower opening(11) with a width(W) which is smaller than that(W') of a middle part of the tilting runner correspondingly, so as to collect scattering dust by a dust collecting hood effectively.
