<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional antifouling paint which has an antifouling function owing to its excellent hydrophilic property and environment-related functions such as an antifungal, deodorant, antibacterial, and air purification functions. <P>SOLUTION: The multifunctional antifouling paint uses as an essential resin component a weatherable hydrophilic polymer selected from the group consisting of a methyl silicate, water glass, colloidal silica, poly(meth)acrylic acid, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) graft-polymerized with a sulfonic acid. In the hydrophilic polymer, a photocatalyst is contained as an essential pigment component in a certain concentration range.
