PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for processing images and a program capable of improving the flexibility in jaggy correction with respect to image data made to be printed by an ink-jet printer. SOLUTION: The device for processing the image carries out image processings, regarding the image data printed by the ink-jet printer. The device for processing the image has a correction-kind input means for receiving the specifications of kinds of jaggy corrections, regarding the image data and a reference-pattern determining means determining reference patterns used for pattern matching on the basis of kinds of jaggy corrections, and the device for processing the image, further, has a correction means conducting the pattern, matching the image data by using the reference pattern and carrying out processing, corresponding to the kind of correction regarding specified pixels within a matched range, and thereby solving the problem.
