PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk drive that efficiently discharges heat in a case, and prevents the occurrence of recording and reproducing errors. SOLUTION: The device includes a spindle motor 2, a disk X rotated by the spindle motor 2, a magnetic head 1 reciprocated ion the radial direction on the disk X, and a straightening plate 5 provided so as to become width-wider gradually forward a center part from an outer peripheral part of this disk X, inside of a case 7, the case 7 includes a vent hole 70 at an appropriate part so as to approach to one end 5B of the straightening plate 5 positioned at an outer peripheral part side of the disk X.
