PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can precisely forecast variations of laser beam radiating positions so as to correct color shifts even if correlations between optical units and variations in their peripheral temperatures are difficult to find, and also provide a color shift-correction method and a program thereof. SOLUTION: The deviation quantities of laser beam radiating positions between colors gradually increase with temporal change in at least one of plurality of operation modes, and the deviation quantities of the laser beam radiating positions between the colors gradually decrease with further temporal change, and then the deviation quantities of the laser beam radiating positions between the colors converge with moreover further temporal change. The deviation quantities of the laser beam radiating positions with the temporal change are found by computation (S102-S104).
