PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for controlling a nuclear fusion power generation plant of a deuterium-tritium (DT) magnetic confinement type operated in a low-temperature and high-density domain. SOLUTION: The controlling method includes performing a stable control through the inversion of the sing of a control coefficient from positive (+1) to negative (-1) in the fuel supply controlled by using the deviation in nuclear fusion output, while a control method for stabilizing around the equilibrium point is adopted on account of usual thermal instability for the self-ignition operation in a low-temperature and high-density domain in the nuclear fusion power generation plant 10 of a DT magnetic confinement (helical or tokamak) type. This control method is also available in the self-ignition operation in the low-temperature and high-density domain in a nuclear fusion reactor of a smaller advanced confinement DT helical type, a DT helical type reactor with any different coil coordinations, or a tokamak reactor.
