<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a cooperative operation between a monitor device and a set top box satisfactorily even if the monitor device for performing video display and the set top box for transmitting a video signal to the monitor device through a prescribed interface are configured to be different bodies from each other. <P>SOLUTION: This video display device is provided with: the monitor device (11) for performing video display; and a video processor (12) which outputs a video signal to the monitor device through a prescribed interface and is a housing different from the monitor device. The monitor device is provided with a first power button, the video processor is provided with a second power button, and a remote control device for operating either the monitor device or the video processor is provided with a third power button. Even when any of the first power button, the second button and the third power button is operated, the powers of the monitor device and the video processor are cooperatively controlled so as to equalize the power states of the monitor device and the video processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
